Silicon Soapware Email List Privacy Policy as of Sat October 20 2007: This hosting service requires all email lists to have a Privacy Policy. I think the following is pretty much what I've been doing all along but had never documented (or even really thought about) until now. The Basics: I will not sell people's email addresses to spammers, or otherwise use the information for evil. If someone asks me how to contact you, I will forward their contact info to you and let you decide. Court orders, search warrants, etc., take precedence over this policy. I will take reasonable precautions, but I am not a professional security guru. Postings: If you post to a list, the address you post from will be visible to anyone reading your posting. List archives can be viewed by any list member. The automated subscription process does not require moderator approval of new subscribers. I will not subscribe people to these lists without their consent. Answering the automated subscription confirmation implies consent. I reserve the right to unsubscribe anyone at any time. In Conclusion: If something comes up that isn't explicitly covered here, I'll try to deal with it in a friendly way among friends.
